Adenoid & Tonsil Surgery

Everything went well and the little patient is sitting here in her bed next to me.
Mommy went in with her until she went under and both Mommy and Daddy were there when she woke up. She was very brave when we went into the O.R. and they had her lay down on the bed and put the mask on. She didn't cry! We are so proud of our little trooper.

She woke up very groggy and wanted to sit up right away but kept slumping to one side and her eyes kept closing. She cried a little bit and wanted to watch "Diego". We put it on for her but she kept falling asleep off and on and complaining that she could not see it (the pain killer probably made her vision blurry) Then we moved to our room. We are sharing with a 9 year old little girl and her mom that we met last week in the waiting room at the ENT.

Allison just said she was hungry but she cannot eat yet, so I said they would bring her ice and she got upset and yelled that "ICE IS YUCKY!!!!" and "I want ice cream and pudding" (That's what mommy said she could eat after the surgery). She settled for the popsicle the nurse brought in.

Here she is before she woke up from surgery.
Trying to stay awake after surgery.

We hope Alli is feeling better soon! It sounds like she did really well coming out of surgery.

Take care,

She did so much better than AJ who jumped off the table as he came out of anesthesia and tried to kick and hit everyone because he was so disoriented...Glad to see it all went well :)
